Questions about signing PDFs
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
This tool produces visible signatures, text and date stamps placed on the page. It is not a certified electronic signature, does not include identity verification, and does not produce a tamper-evident audit trail. For binding agreements consult a qualified e-signature service or legal counsel about whether visual signing meets your requirements in your jurisdiction.
Are my files or signature uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF, your drawn or typed signature and the resulting signed file all stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
Can I sign on multiple pages or place multiple signatures?
Yes. Add as many signatures, text or date objects as you need on any page. The objects panel on the right lists every placement. Click an entry to jump to its page.
Can I move objects with the keyboard?
Yes. Click an object to select it, then use the arrow keys to nudge by 1 pixel or hold Shift for 10-pixel steps. Press Delete or Backspace to remove the selected object.
Can the signature be edited or removed by the recipient?
A determined recipient with PDF editing tools could potentially remove or modify the placed objects. To make objects harder to alter visually, use Flatten PDF after signing, which bakes them into the page content. Note that flattening is not encryption and does not prevent all forms of editing.
