PDF to Word without uploading

Convert PDF files to editable Word documents without uploading to any server. MendPDF runs the conversion engine locally in your browser. The output .docx file is generated on your device.

Why conversion without uploading matters

Standard PDF-to-Word converters require uploading your document. The server processes it and sends the result back. For documents containing financial data, legal terms, personal information, or business-sensitive content, this creates unnecessary exposure. MendPDF converts locally, so the file never leaves your device.

How the local conversion works

Drop your PDF: The file loads into browser memory. No upload occurs.
WASM engine extracts content: Text, tables, images, and layout are extracted from the PDF structure using a local WebAssembly engine.
.docx generated in browser: The Word document is assembled in memory with preserved formatting, table structure, and text flow.
Download the result: The finished .docx file is saved directly to your device. No server round-trip.

What the converter preserves

Text and paragraphs: Body text, headings, and paragraph spacing are carried over to Word format.
Tables: Table structure, rows, columns, and cell content are preserved in the output.
RTL text direction: Arabic and Hebrew text maintains correct right-to-left direction in the Word output.
Layout structure: Page layout, margins, and text positioning are retained as closely as possible.
