Questions about filling PDF forms

What kind of forms are supported?

Interactive AcroForm fields — text, multiline text, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns and option lists. Dynamic XFA forms (legacy Adobe LiveCycle format) are not supported. Static forms (scanned paper forms without interactive fields) can be filled by adding text and checkmarks on top of the page using Sign PDF.

Are my files or answers uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF, your entered values and the resulting filled file all stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.

Can the recipient still edit the form fields after I send it?

By default yes — the exported PDF keeps its form fields editable. Check Flatten after filling before saving to bake your values into the page and make the form non-editable. Flattening is not encryption, but it prevents accidental edits and ensures all viewers display the filled values the same way.

Why do some fields show technical names instead of labels?

The sidebar shows the field’s internal PDF name (like form1[0].Page1[0].FirstName[0]). Click any highlighted region on the page to jump to its input; this helps match fields to their visual labels on the form.

Is my original file changed?

No. The original PDF on your device is never modified. This tool creates a new filled PDF that you download.
